Her dark skin makes her so “foreign” and “alien” they have no clue how to properly develop her character. After seeing the first film, her ass appears random as hell in the second.īecause she technically doesn’t “belong”, the writers don’t know what the hell to do with her. She’s there to shut us up so that black women in particular can’t complain about not being seen in Hollywood. She is the quintessential white interpretation of a black woman: I’m watching Conan the Destroyer (1984), and while I have all the proper respect due to Grace Jones, the character of Zula never appealed to Moi.
